Indonesian Election Winning Pair Has Not Received Congratulations From the White House. The White House has not yet congratulated the temporary leader in presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, in the quick count version of the 2024 presidential election. The United States Presidential Palace claims to have received information regarding the preliminary results of the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia.

However, they refused to offer congratulations. The White House said it would only congratulate the presidential candidate-elect at the appropriate time. Namely waiting for the General Election Commission or KPU RI to officially announce who will be the winner of the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia.

This was conveyed directly by national security communications advisor John Kirby on VOA Saturday, February 17 2024. John Kirby also explained that the United States would respect the voices of the Indonesian people who had made their choice.

When asked about the Joe Biden government’s reaction to Prabowo Subianto’s record, Kirbi underlined that human rights had become the main foundation of Joe Biden’s foreign policy, as is known from the Litbank Kompas quick count data. Prabowo Subianto was indeed ahead with a score of 58.48%. This figure is based on 99.8% of data that has been entered. Meanwhile, their rivals Anis – Imin only got 25.21% and Ganjar – Mahfud 16.31%.

The temporary real count results released by the Indonesian KPU via the Sirekap application also showed Prabowo – Gibran’s superiority compared to other candidates, where Prabowo – Gibran obtained a figure of 57.95%.
