South Korea U-23 coach Huang San Hong Gave A Surprising Statement After His Team Was Confirmed To Be The Opponent Of The Indonesian U-23 National Team

South Korea U-23 coach Huang San Hong gave a surprising statement after his team was confirmed to be the opponent of the Indonesian U-23 National Team in the quarter-finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. Previously, South Korea successfully beat Japan in the deciding match for Group B of the U-23 Asian Cup with score 1-0 for South Korea’s victory. So it is certain that South Korea will emerge as the winner of group B and will challenge the U-23 Indonesian National Team who were runners up in group A.

After it was confirmed that his team would play Indonesia, the South Korean u-23 coach, Wangsan Hong, made a slightly surprising statement for the Indonesian u-23 national team coached by Shin Ta Yong. Wangsan Hong said he was very grateful that his team emerged as group B winners, so that his team was spared from hosts Qatar. For him, playing against Indonesia in the quarter-finals was according to his plan. “The Indonesian U23 national team under coach Shin Tae Young will be our opponent in the quarter-finals.” said Huangsan Hong after the match against Japan Monday, April 22 2004.

“Of course fighting them is in accordance with what we planned. We are happy to be group winners, so that our team can avoid Qatar. Because honestly we admit that the match against Qatar will certainly be more difficult, because Qatar is the host,” he added. “Moreover, every team that faces Qatar often has difficulties, and is often disadvantaged by controversial decisions from the referee. This is no longer a secret.” Added Huangsan Hong’s statement. “So there is a good chance that Indonesia will be our opponent in the quarter-finals,” he concluded
