The Rubymar Ship Attacked By The Houthis Is Now Abandoned

The Rubymar ship attacked by the Houthis is now abandoned. The British ship attacked by Yemen’s Houthis last weekend is still abandoned in the Gulf of Aden. The ship’s crew has fled, while the condition of the ship has partially sunk, the condition of the Rubymar ship, which was abandoned by its crew after the Houthi attack, is very pathetic. This ship can actually still be towed near Djibouthi, because part of it is still floating. However, there is no sign from the ship owner to withdraw it.

Previously, the Houthis attacked the Rubymar ship using ballistic missiles on the evening of 18 February 2024. Djibouthi’s port and free zone authority said the ship was carrying 22 metric tonnes of fertilizer which it said was very dangerous. The ship was headed to Belarus from its final port in the United Arab Emirates.

After being hit by a missile, the ship’s crew of 24 people was rescued by another commercial ship
